FAQ

Pre-Handover (PCI) Inspections in Morayfield: common questions

Why are so many facade items found at handover?

Render is applied late in the build and covers large areas. It can hide weep holes, bridge control joints and obscure where a movement joint was never built. These defects are easier to fix before you move in and harder to enforce afterwards.

Does a balcony feature spot-fixed fittings?

The tiles are stuck down on dabs of adhesive rather than a full bed. They sound hollow when tapped and are prone to cracking. Water can also sit in the voids beneath the tiles.

What is excluded from a Morayfield handover inspection?

Electrical, gas and plumbing systems are not tested. Appliances and air conditioning are not commissioned, and nothing is dismantled or cut open. Switchboards and wiring must be inspected by a licensed electrician. We cannot see inside the walls or behind the fittings.
